Understanding The Pathway To Safety

As holistic therapists, we help people feel

heard... and safe.

It's in that safety that the harder stories often begin to surface.

How we meet that moment matters.

The nervous system. The emotions. The defence mechanisms rising to protect. These are the moment where we can help a client find their way to their life after trauma.

LIFE AFTER TRAUMA-2.png

meet the moment with confidence..every time

In our spaces...

Most of us were trained in a modality.

Not in this.

Not in what to do when a client freezes mid session.

Not in what to say when a story spills out that you weren't expecting.

Not in how to stay steady when your clients nervous system does something your textbook never covered.

So, we do our best. We hold the space with heart and hope our instincts are enough.

Sometimes they are. Sometimes a session ends and we're left wondering if we helped.. or just got through it.

I've seen what happens when that gap isn't closed.

In my own cliic, I've met countless clients who were unintentionally shut down or hurt by a well-meaning therapist who simply hadn't understood what to do in that moment.

It isn't a failure of care. It's a training gap.

And it's one we can close for you.

Safety First.
Healing Follows

Twenty years in clinic taught me this.

Trauma doesn't need us to fix it.

It needs safety.

Give the nervous system enough safety, and it starts doing what it already knows how to do.

Our role was never to have the perfect technique/ protocol ready.

It's to become the safety a client can settle into - steady, present, unafraid of what they brig.

This is what this course builds in you:

Hi, I'm Emma Sternberg

bio picture_edited.png

I'm a Holistic Therapist, educator and mum to three incredible boys. For the past 18 years, I've had the privilege of sitting alongside people as they've navigated trauma, anxiety, chronic illness, grief and some of the hardest moments of their lives. Those years in clinic have taught me that healing rarely comes from having the perfect technique—it comes from helping people feel deeply seen, safe and understood.

Over the years, I've also found my greatest passion in teaching and mentoring practitioners. I believe that when therapists understand trauma, the nervous system and the language of the body, everything changes. Sessions become calmer. Clients feel safer. Practitioners become more confident. And healing can unfold in a way that feels respectful rather than overwhelming.

I created Life After Trauma because I wanted to bridge the gap between traditional practitioner training and the realities of working with people carrying trauma.

My hope is that this course not only gives you practical, evidence-informed tools, but also changes the way you see your clients—and perhaps even yourself.

I'm so grateful you're here, and I can't wait to learn alongside you!

What do others say about it?

More than just learning...

I was referred to your course by another student, and I was a little skeptical whether the contents would be valuable, as I’m on a budget and need to be discerning about how I spend my money.

I just wanted to say that I’m so glad that I decided to join the Life After Trauma course.  I’m finding it to be a well-written, easy to follow course with really pertinent content.

Even the way it is formatted, helps to absorb the knowledge without the overwhelm that occurs with some text layouts.

The course that I took to be a better practitioner, has given me so much clarity, with explanations as to why I reacted in certain ways to my own complex traumas.

It has validated the intuitive insights that I had about how to clear the physical and energetic resonance of the hurts.

Thank you for putting your knowledge & wisdom out there in a succinct and practical way so we can pay it forward to our clients (and understand our own processes better).

The Legals & Working Within Our Scope of Practice

This is the traditional "trauma-informed care" module!

How do you hold this space professionally.

Before You Decide:

"I already know the basics"

Most of us do - the theory. What's usually missing is the applicable part: what to actually say and do when a client dissociates mid session, or discloses something you weren't expecting. This course was built from two decades of those real moments.

"I don't have time for a big course"

This is a completely self paced, online course which you'll have access to for a "lifetime"! Therefore there is no real timeframe. If you were to "complete" it within a set timeframe, I say it takes around 6 hours a week.

AND each time I run the course live - you'll be added in automatically - no extra charge or sign up requirements!

Are There CPE Points?

It is not a registered course, however you will receive a Certificate of Completion with an expected total of 60 hours of course time.

Is this within my scope as a holistic practitioner?

Yes. This is a trauma-informed practice, not trauma treatment -we will teach you how to  recognise, hold and safely navigatewhat shows up in your room.

WHEN ARE THE LIVE WEBINARS?

Wednesdays at 11am (AEST).

They will be recorded if you can't make it live.

Your clients already trust you
they are already telling you the hard things..
give yourself the training to meet them there.

P.S. if you've made it this far, some part of your already knows this is the gap. You've felt it - in a session that went somewhere you weren't ready for, in a client you're still thinking about. This course is built from 20 years of meeting those exact moments, so that your next one doesn't have to be instinct alone.
