WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK

Each state has a different way to register.
You will need this if you are working with people under 16 years of age. It's useful to have regardless if the parent will be in the room or not (there are always instances where you may be left alone with the child).

MANDATORY REPORTING

** If you are working with children, please have a browse through these websites to get yourself familiar with what may be required**

As a health professional working with children, we are mandatory reporters.
If you suspect that a child or young person (under 18 years of age) is at risk of significant harm
i.e. safety, welfare or wellbeing of a child or young person, then we have an obligation to report it.

Information on mandatory reporting:

****This is our Mandatory Reporting Guide****

Do the questionnaire and it will lead you to what you need to do legally.
If there is enough reason you will have to call the child protection helpline and put in an e report.
