You need a database so that you can build a community and so that you can reach that community when you need to. People need connection. If they've come into contact with you, it's because you resonate at a similar vibration, or they are looking to rise to the vibration that you're holding.
You hold within you wisdom through learning and experience, it's our service, as practitioners, to pass that on when we are guided to.
When I talk about database, I'm not saying it just to boost your income (although that is wonderful!),
I'm asking you to respect the reaching out that someone in the world has made towards the vibration that you hold.
The energy exchange goes like this :
you have wisdom to share -> others reach out for it -> you meet -> you ask them for their details ->they give over willingly -> you share the wisdom -> they resonate with that wisdom -> they continue to follow
or they don't and they leave willingly to find another.
So How Do You Build Your Database?
1. Find the platform to store them. I use "mailchimp" for email addresses and cliniko for SMS and email, as it's my easy access point in daily runnings of my business. With mailchimp, there is an option to link software like cliniko so that your database builds automatically. You can find your own by looking for CRM (contact relationship management) software.
2.You share your wisdom. Find something that resonates with you: * In clinic, make sure that you accept peoples phone number and email address. * Create a sign up on your website with an offer. This can be a little meditation, 3 days of inspiration, a mini ebook, a discount code for a product - get creative! * Create an email signup on facebook. * Put a paper sign up list at reception in your clinic, particularly if it has a yoga/pilates studio attached. * Do workshops/talks and make sure you add the people who come to your database.
3. Respect the relationship. * Contact people as often as you feel connected to, just do it with authenticity and don't hide yourself either.
Have fun!
Communication ultimately is there to connect, to inspire, to make people feel safe and buoyed by others!
